Church break-in foiled, suspect arrested

MONDEOR – CPS Security reaction teams caught a suspect breaking into a church after officers responded to an alarm activation and a request for backup up from security officers on site.

Thanks to the quick thinking and bravery of one reaction officer, the suspect was apprehended and prevented from escaping with stolen goods such as sound equipment and other items. Mondeor SAPS was notified, and the suspect was handed over.

A case of business break in was opened and the stolen items were handed back to the church. Job well to the officers involved! It’s believed that the suspect has been involved in several break in’s with regards to the ‘Liefde en Vrede’ – area as the description and modus operandi match previous incidents.
