Home owners tied up during home invasion, suspects arrested

SOUTH CREST – On Friday morning, CPS Security received multiple panics from a homeowner after a home invasion. CPS Reaction officers responded promptly, arriving at the scene to find two suspects fleeing on foot with a firearm.

The CPS tactical team quickly surrounded the area, blocking off streets and initiating a manhunt. After an intense search, the suspects were apprehended by officers after they were found hiding in a property on Split Street. SAPS K9 unit was called in to search the premises, recovering stolen items including jewelry, laptops, and cellphones.

The suspects had tied up the homeowners during the invasion, but thanks to Security teams swift response, they are now safe.

In another incident, CPS Security operations call centre received a call from a resident of suspicious activity in Strydpoort Street. Members of CPS Tactical Team responded to the area. Upon their arrival they found a Nissan Navara Standing idling with no occupants.

CPS officers secured the vehicle and Rentrack arrived. On reviewing footage from a nearby property, officers were able to determine when the criminals abandoned the vehicle due to the influx of security and identify their getaway vehicle. Well done and a big thank you to all roleplayers having the vehicle successfully returned to its owner.
