Suspect arrested, stolen goods recovered
BROOKLYN – In a operation involving SAPS Brooklyn, Gauteng Traffic Wardens STT (Northern Corridor), Axon Security, Bidvest Protea Coin (Airwing), CSI Security, Emer-G-Med EMS, Fidelity Security Services, FirstHelp Towing, Hatfield CID, Interactive Security, and the Old East Safety Forum, law enforcement and private security teams intercepted a vehicle linked to a recent theft incident.
The suspect vehicle was spotted entering the Old East operational area (Brooklyn). Members launched an extensive search and intercepted the vehicle as it attempted to flee toward the highway.
Following a brief pursuit, the suspect was stopped and apprehended on Lynnwood Bridge. A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of the stolen goods. Further investigation confirmed that the vehicle had been fitted with cloned number plates.
