Two decapitated in horror attack on SA-owned lodges

MOZAMBIQUE – A brutal attack on South African-owned lodges in Mozambique has left two workers dead after being beheaded by suspected Islamist extremists. The assailants also set fire to a luxury hunting resort during the violent incident.

The attack, believed to be the work of insurgents operating in the northern region of Mozambique, underscores ongoing security concerns in the area, where extremist violence has surged in recent years.

The victims were employees at the resort, which is operated by South African nationals. Authorities are investigating the incident, and security forces have been deployed to the region as efforts to contain the threat continue.
