Gauteng family of seven sought for theft
ETHEKWENI – A Boksburg family living in a car in Kwazulu Natal is sought for Theft after they fled with tools & equipment from the workshop of a Taxi/Tow Truck Operator on Tuesday (18/03/2025) at approx 10:00.
The family of seven approached a businessman and after a brief conversation, the adult male identified himself as Shawn (surname unknown) and sought employment. Shawn advised that he was experienced in repairing jacks & vehicles. He requested several tools to commence work.
The businessman purchased several sets of tools and provided additional equipment as requested. The family remained in the vicinity while Shawn worked on a vehicle. Within a 48 hour period the family stole the new purchased tools, several other equipment and fled. Upon discovering the Theft, the Taxi/Tow Truck Operator contacted RUSA officers.
Officers learnt that the family of seven had been living in a maroon Daewoo at various locations in Ethekweni. The vehicle has Gauteng Province (GP) registration plates. The occupants of the vehicle are all white males & females. An adult male (Shawn), an adult female (wife), a 65 year old male (grandfather) and four (4) children (images withheld).
