This Is One ‘Dragon’ You Don’t Want To Cross Paths With

In Australia, between 30,000 and 40,000 years ago, lived a colossal lizard known as Megalania, a prehistoric predator that could reach up to 7 meters in length and whose size made it the largest terrestrial reptile of its time.

It’s believed to have coexisted with the first Aboriginal Australians, who possibly confronted this formidable hunter. Their lifestyle and behaviour would have been similar to that of the current Komodo dragon, using its powerful bite and venom to subdue its prey in ancient Australian ecosystems.
