Thuntsa Lerole programme uplifts schools of Madibeng Local Municipality
KLIPGAT – The Thuntsa Lerole programme has made a significant impact on education in the Madibeng Local Municipality, with two primary schools in Klipgat Village benefiting from the initiative.
On Friday, 14 February 2025, Keitumetse Primary School received a donation of sanitary towels for 40 girl learners, as well as essential garden tools and equipment to establish a thriving school garden. The school also unveiled a brand-new administration block, which is expected to enhance the overall learning environment.
Inkonjane Primary School also benefited from the programme, with a contractor being introduced to repair the school’s eight ablution facilities. THE North West Education MEC, Viola Motsumi praised the initiative.
“Education is a societal matter, and it takes a village to raise a child. We appreciate the help from all stakeholders who are contributing towards quality education”, said MEC Motsumi. The Thuntsa Lerole programme is a collaborative effort aimed at accelerating service delivery to the communities across the province.
