Thuntsa Lerole brings services to Madibeng
KLIPGAT – The Klipgat Cluster was a hive activity on Friday, 14 February 2025 with the implementation of the Thuntsa Lerole Accelerated Service Delivery Programme.
The programme was led by the North West Premier, Hon. Lazarus Mokgosi who was accompanied by MECs, the Executive Mayor of Bojanala Platinum District Municipality, Cllr. Suzan Nthangeni Madibeng Local Municipality, the Executive Mayor of Madibeng Local Municipality, Cllr. Douglas Maimane, Speaker of Council, Cllr DItshego Mbezi, Single Whip of Council, Cllr. Peter Padi, MMCs from both Bojanala and Madibeng, Councillors, Traditional Leaders (Magosi) and government officials.
The day started off with the launch of Tshela Ka itekanelo Wellness campaign as Premier Mokgosi read out the pledge as commitment to healthy living. The entourage laid hands in the patching of potholes on the main road past the Klipgat Police Station before embarking on oversight visits to ongoing projects through a 1,4km walk. The ongoing projects included the Klipgat sanitation project and the Klipgat Fire Station. The entourage also took time to turn the sod to mark installation of solar hight mast lights.
The entourage carried on with numerous activities that included among others, the oversight visit to the Wansati Hatlisa Boerdery in Mamogaleskraal where MEC Madoda Sambatha went to ensure that production inputs were delivered for sustainability of the farm, the handing out of sanitary towels to girl learners at Keitumetse Primary Schhol in Klipgat as well as garden tools. A contractor was introduced to repair ablution facilities for Inkonjane Primary School.
The entourage rounded off the day with feedback
to the community at the Klipgat Community Hall. Different government departments rendered services to the members of community who came in large numbers.
