Armed robbery suspects swiftly arrested

BRACKENDOWNS – A member of the public approached CPS Security reaction units requesting help after two men attempted to rob him in the back of a veld. (behind Geelhout str)

Reaction officer managed to apprehend both suspects who were in possession of a pistol and knife. EMPD CLU responded and arrested both suspects and transported them to Brackendowns police station, where they were charged with Armed Robbery.

Officers have also received several complaints over the past few weeks regarding members of the public being robbed by two men with a firearm in that area. Job well done to the reaction officers and thank you to EMPD for the quick back up!
