Drug user attempts selling competition flying pigeon
VERULAM – A Competition Pigeon was dumped on the roadside after a drug user failed to sell it in the Verulam CBD. Members of RUSA were called out to a business premises on Todd Street for assistance. On arrival, Reaction Officers were handed the Pigeon by a Panel Beater.
He stated that he noticed a drug user on Sunday attempting to sell the bird. It is believed that he dumped it on the side of the road after failing to secure a sale. The bird is injured and unable to fly. It has a ring around its right leg. Reaction Officers have made contact with a bird sanctuary to assist with medical intervention.
