84-year-old granny robbed by armed suspect

TRENANCE PARK – A lone suspect armed with a bush knife attacked an 84 year old woman yesterday afternoon in her home. RUSA officers received the call for immediate assistance from residents in the area. Reaction Officers arrived on scene at 15:55 & was informed by the grandmother that an unknown male armed with a panga had entered her property.

She attempted to close the door but was overpowered by the suspect & shoved to the floor. A flat screen television was taken (make unknown). The woman suffered minor injuries. The victims 80 year old sister sleeping in the bedroom was unharmed.
