Driver decapitated after vehicle overturns multiple times

VERULAM – A man was decapitated after he was ejected from his vehicle that overturned multiple times on the north bound lane of the R102 in the vicinity of Phoenix on Wednesday afternoon.

RUSA reaction officers arrived on scene and discovered a private ambulance service in attendance. Paramedics were in the process of stabilising a seriously injured passenger. A silver Mazda 3 was found on its roof.

A second male believed the be the driver was lying on the road. He was decapitated in the accident. It was alleged that the vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed before it crashed into a concrete barrier.
