Suspects crash while fleeing robbery, woman arrested

BUFFELSDRAAI – Suspects fleeing the scene of a robbery crashed their getaway vehicle into an oncoming car on Monday afternoon. RUSA officers arrived on scene and discovered that a white Ford Figo collided into a silver Toyota Rav 4.

It was established that four males and two females in the Ford Figo stopped on Buffelsdraai Road and robbed a man of his cellphone. They sped off but crashed into an oncoming vehicle a short distance away.

Five individuals abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot leaving one female behind. She was handed over to the Verulam SAPS for further investigation. The occupants of the Toyota Rav 4 were not injured.
