Female accused of affair, stabbed by drinking buddy

CANELANDS – A 32 year old female was stabbed by her friend during an argument at an informal area over the weekend. The injured woman was consuming alcohol with a female friend before the attack.

She was accused by her drinking buddy of having an affair with her boyfriend. During the argument, the suspect produced a knife and stabbed her friend before she fled the scene.

Residents contacted RUSA officers for medical assistance for the injured female. RUSA Paramedics were dispatched to her location and on arrival, found that she sustained a large penetrating wound to her back.

She was stabilised on scene before being expedited to hospital by ambulance. Reaction Officers conducted a search for the suspect, but no arrests were made.
