Grab Your Sea Legs! We’re Going Underwater

German engineer Rüdiger Koch has been living in an underwater capsule off the coast of Panama since September, aiming to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest time underwater without decompression. Koch seeks to surpass the 100-day record set by Joseph Dituri in 2023.

The capsule is equipped with advanced life support and communication systems, allowing for continuous monitoring of his physical and psychological conditions during the extended submersion. Additionally, this project holds significant potential for future research in marine exploration, underwater habitation, and technologies designed for extreme environments.
