Workshop for Madibeng’s small scale pig farmers

BRITS – On Wednesday, 27 November 2024, the Department of Local Economic Development at Madibeng Local Municipality, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Sappo and Feedmaster, organized a workshop for Madibeng emerging and small scale pig farmers.

The aim was to share knowledge on pig production, housing, nutrition and disease control. Ultimately, the goal is food security, income generation and job creation. One hundred and ten pig producers from all wards of Madibeng attended the workshop.
