Joint tactical operation leads to the arrest of suspects for possession of suspected stolen goods

BRITS – A joint tactical operation by the Brits Crime Intelligence and Visible Policing as well as Hartbeespoortdam Visible Policing and Detectives arrested two suspects on Thursday morning, 21 November 2024, in Ten Rooms informal settlement, for possession of suspected stolen goods.

According to information, a search was conducted at the suspects’ place and that led to the recovery of one HP printer, one cooler bag, two laptop bags, one roll bag with wheels and a black jacket, all worth R5 000,00. Preliminary investigation revealed that the goods were stolen during a business burglary committed earlier this month in Hartbeespoortdam.

The accused; Samuel Ngobeni and Samuel Mokgarudi, both aged 42, appeared in the Brits Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 22 November 2024. The pair was remanded in custody until Wednesday, 27 November 2024, for bail application.

The District Commissioner of Bojanala Platinum Sub-District 1, Major General Modisagaarekwe Mosimanegape hailed the members for dedication and concerted efforts that resulted in the success.
