Three seriously injured in collision on R102
CANELANDS – Three people were seriously injured following a collision involving two trucks at the R102 & Vincent Dickenson Road robots a short while ago (Wednesday). RUSA officers were called out to the scene at approximately 12:27.
On arrival, RUSA Members discovered that three occupants of a truck belonging to a waste recycling company sustained serious injuries. They were stabilised on scene before being expedited to hospital by different ambulance services.
It was alleged that a Mercedes Benz tip truck was turning into Vincent Dickenson Road from the south bound lane of the R102 when the second truck collided into it at the robots. It could not be confirmed who had the right of way. The driver of the tip truck was not injured.
