Trio arrested, firearm and magazines seized

RIETGAT – Three individuals, including Stephen Hanyani, a foreign national aged 49, and two South African males named Caiphas Kaizer (47) and Lucas Baloyi (35), made an appearance in the Soshanguve Magistrate’s Court after being arrested by Rietgat SAPS members on Monday evening, the 14th of October 2024.

The trio was apprehended along the Mokefe Makinta Highway and discovered to be in possession of two sealed boxes containing over 100 magazines for various firearms, packets of spring trigger mesh, a rifle grip, gas tube, bolt carrier, and slim electric ear muffs.
