Another truck and bakkie collision on the N4-Bakwena

BRITS – An accident occurred on the N4 Bakwena Highway involving a truck and a bakkie, resulting in significant damage to the bakkie on Sunday. The H.E.M.S team swiftly responded to the scene.

On their arrival, one patient was found with moderate injuries and was treated on scene before being transported to a hospital in Brits. Thank you to all available units for scene control and clean-up! People in our communities are reminded to drive cautiously, especially on the busy highways.

Motorists are encouraged to:

• Maintain a safe following distance. – Don’t be on the back bumper, specially if you’re driving a bakkie or fast car!

• Obey speed limits and traffic signals. – You have eyes to see, understand and implement it.

• Avoid distractions while driving. – Especially those of you on cellphones.

• Always wear seatbelts. – Remember, safety first!
