Driver extricated from overturned vehicle crash
REDCLIFFE – The drivers of two vehicles and a pedestrian were injured following a collision on the corner of Oakford & Quarry Road a short while ago (Monday).
A member of RUSA was on patrol in the vicinity when he came across the collision. The Reaction Officer reported injuries on scene and requested urgent medical assistance from the Operations Centre.
RUSA Paramedics were immediately dispatched and found a female trapped in a white Daihatsu Sirion. The vehicle was lying on its side in a ditch next to the road. The 38 year old was extracted and stabilised. The 58 year old driver of a silver Mitsubishi ASX and a 28 year old pedestrian who was struck by one of the vehicles sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the silver Mitsubishi ASX informed Reaction Officers that she was travelling in the direction of Redcliffe from Oakford when the white Diahatsu Sirion turned into Quarry Road from the opposite direction. This information could not be confirmed by First Responders. The injured were expedited to hospital by ambulance.
