Victim pistol whipped during home invasion
DAWNCREST – A man was injured after he was pistol whipped during a home invasion in Ibis Road on Wednesday evening. RUSA officers were called out to the property at approximately 18:52 after the female victim managed to flee over the boundary wall. On arrival, Reaction Officers established that five (5) armed suspects accosted the family who drove into the yard.
The robbers assaulted the male victim and forced him into the residence. The female victim managed to flee over the boundary wall and contacted RUSA for assistance. The robbers ransacked the residence before they fled in an awaiting white Toyota (make, model & registration unknown). Cellphones and other valuables were stolen. An extensive search was conducted, but no arrests were made.
