Expeditions of a man’s love & devotion
Yasushi Takahashi is the man who journeyed across Japan with a GPS tracker to craft a 7,163-kilometer drawing as a proposal to his girlfriend. It has since been officially acknowledged as the world’s largest GPS drawing.
In 2008, meticulously strategizing the itinerary, Yasushi resigned from his job and devoted half a year to exploring diverse destinations he had yet to experience. His method of discovery primarily involved walking, supplemented by a mix of car rides, ferry voyages, and bicycle expeditions.
The romantic explorer’s intricate proposal was subsequently honored by the Guinness World Records as the most extensive GPS drawing accomplished by an individual, a distinction he maintains to this very day. And, incidentally, she joyfully accepted.
