Suspects arrested after residential break-in

JOHANNESBURG – On Friday afternoon at roughly 13:00 CPG information of a residential break in, within the Eastleigh, Edenvale area was received. Multiple members responded to the incident whereby a nearby resident had taken a picture of the suspects vehicle involved.

Through further investigation with intelligence, lead to the team being able to identify the suspect registration which was investigated further through the smart cameras within the area. A route, where the suspects were travelling within Edenvale was established & members started making there way to locate the vehicle in question. Upon searching the area, CPG Security units had located the vehicle whereby a chase ensued.

Members called for back up as the vehicle fled onto the freeway. The vehicle was chased into the Booysen’s area where it was successfully stopped. It was later established that the suspects had positively broken into another residential premises within the Edenvale area & had multiple stolen items in their possession.

The vehicle the suspects were using had false plates fitted along with the original number plates located inside the vehicle. Three (3) suspects were apprehended, the vehicle with false plates, house breaking implements & the stolen items recovered. Well done to all members that assisted with this great success!
