Head-on collision leaves one dead, two injured

MAQONGO – Midlands EMS crews were dispatched to Table Mountain Road towards Maqongo, just outside of Pietermaritzburg, for a motor vehicle accident. On arrival, it was found that two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision.

One person sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased on the scene. Two other people sustained serious injuries requiring advanced life support treatment. Once stabilized, the patients were transported to nearby specialist hospitals for further care. Thank you for all emergency units on scene!
