Solar panel & cable thieves arrested
GAUTENG – A concerned resident contacted CPS Security control room after spotting a suspicious male jumping over a residents wall. Reaction officers responded to the complaint. The suspect had already jumped into another premises where he removed a solar panel and light. On arrival the suspect was spotted trying to hide in a Skip. Officers removed him from the skip and placed him under arrest.
In a separate incident, a concerned resident posted a message over a community whatsapp group after noticing a suspicious male climbing into a man hole. Reaction units were dispatched and on arrival the suspect was found inside the man hole busy cutting electrical cable.
The suspect was removed from the man hole and was placed under arrest. Alberton SAPS was contacted and a case was opened. It was confirmed that the suspect resides in a informal settlement in 2nd ave, Alberton North. Job well done on the arrests gentlemen!
