Tow truck operator killed in accident

OTTAWA – A Tow Truck Operator was killed in an accident on Old Main Road yesterday morning. Passing motorists contacted RUSA officers from 10:34 requesting urgent assistance at the scene. Reaction Officers & RUSA Medics were immediately dispatched and on arrival discovered the driver of the white Toyota tow truck lying in a prone position on the road.

He sustained life threatening injuries and was declared deceased. He was the only occupant of the vehicle. It is believed that the vehicle collided in to a metal barrier while travelling from Ottawa in the direction of Southridge.
