Suspects arrested on possession and firearm charges
GAUTENG – Police have arrested three suspects for possession of drugs and unlicensed firearms and ammunition in South Hills. After receiving information about firearms hidden in a residential place in South Hills, the police conducted a search operation. At the first premises, the police found a packet of Mandrax double-star tablets, a 38 special revolver, 179 ammunition, one rifle magazine, eight pistol magazines, and a balaclava.
Consequently, a 39-year-old mother and her 16-year-old son were arrested. Meanwhile, at the second premises, a 42-year-old female was found with 20 crystal meth zip bags, 190 double-star tablets, two Metcatonone, a 9mm Norinco with the serial number filed off, one magazine, and four rounds. The suspects will appear before the Booysens Magistrate’s Court soon to face charges of possession of drugs and unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
