Seven injured in motor vehicle collision

OAKLANDS – Seven people were hospitalised following a motor vehicle collision on Todd Street at the entrance of Oaklands on Sunday. Members of RUSA were called out to the scene by passing motorists.

On arrival, Reaction Officers discovered a white Toyota Hilux bakkie lying on its side. It was established that the bakkie was rear ended by a white Kia Picanto as it was turning into Oaklands. Six occupants of the Kia Picanto and a passenger in the bakkie sustained moderate injuries.

They were expedited to hospital by private ambulance services. Thank you to all emergency units for scene control and clean up!
