Farm robbery foiled when reaction teams arrived

BRITS – Secure Guarding control room and Reaction Teams got a radio call via the company’s local farm safety client radio network from a client. There was a burglary in progress at the client’s house while he was inside the house at 04h44. Reaction teams swiftly responded to the distress call and upon arrival, the suspects fled the property.

Next to the house, a makeshift ladder was found by officers that the suspects used to climb and break the window of the house. Due to the swift reaction, the suspects did not manage to enter the house but only managed to break a window that was later secured with a wooden board.

However, outside the house, the officers found a wrapped up bag containing rotten food suspected to be poisoned either for the dogs or to burn inside the house to make the occupants fall in a deeper sleep.

The scene was secured and an additional area search was launched for the suspects and anything that was stolen and dropped on the property. A big thank you to Secure Guarding and all other reaction units who responded. Great work gentlemen!
