Operation Shanela limits crime in informal settlements

GAUTENG – Provincial Commisisoner, Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni was leading from the front in an operation focusing on illegal mining activities in Matholesville on Thursday. The Provincial Commissioner joined the illegal mining operation team, drugs and liquor compliance inspection team and went on to conduct a walkabout at Princess informal settlement. Arrest were made including confiscation of liqiour. Open mine shafts has also been found and closed.
