Project 1,000: Aiming to bring 1,000 new enforcement candidates

CAPE TOWN – The DA-run City of Cape Town has launched Project 1000, which aims to train 1,000 potential new enforcement candidates as a key means of growing municipal policing resources. This initiative, building on the LEAP programme, will support SAPS in crime fighting efforts.

Offering an intensive 18-month learnership, including physical and theoretical training, this programme will provide youth with valuable employment opportunities while enhancing community safety.

The DA remains committed to investing in initiatives that will help combat crime and ensure safety for all our communities by creating more jobs.
