Five (5) injured after vehicle overturns at airport

DURBAN – Five (5) people were injured after the vehicle they were travelling in overturned on a link road between Watson Highway & King Shaka International Airport in La Mercy on Thursday afternoon.

RUSA received a call for assistance at approximately 17:23. According to the caller, five (5) occupants of a Daewoo Matiz were ejected from the vehicle after it overturned and landed back on its wheels.

On arrival, the injured were stabilised by Paramedics before being expedited to hospital. Circumstances leading up to the accident were not immediately confirmed.
