Fraudster arrested after use of fake money
ALBERTON – A member of the public had alerted one of CPS Security Tactical members of an unknown man who had purchased goods with counterfeit money at a local business in the Randhart area.
The suspect, who was pointed out, was attempting to flee on foot and was apprehended. Further investigation had found that the man had visited several businesses in the area in an attempt to purchase goods using counterfeit money.
The suspect has been detained at Alberton Police station for possession of counterfeit money and fraud. The suspect was profiled and it was established that he was also wanted on another case that occured in 2010. Job well done guys!
