Two men murdered while consuming drugs

VERULAM – Two men aged 24 and 34 were shot and killed while allegedly consuming drugs in Osindisweni on Thursday night.

Neighbors contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at approximately 19:57 after they made the discovery. Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and on arrival discovered the bodies of two (2) men in a single room dwelling. Six (6) spent 9mm cartridges were recovered in the room.

It was alleged that six (6) people were consuming drugs in the room when three (3) other males entered. One (1) individual produced a firearm and instructed four (4) individuals to leave. They then opened fire on the two remaining men.

The motive for the murders has not been established at this stage.
