Suspect fatally shot by armed response officer

ALBERTON – Fox Control room received information that there were suspects busy breaking into a business premises, Reaction teams was dispatched and arrived within minutes at the crime scene.

On arrival, a Reaction Officer entered the building where there were five (5) suspects busy stealing copper. The officer called for backup but the suspects spotted him.

The suspects then started attacking the officer where he then shot and killed one of the criminals in self defense. All stolen goods were recovered. The scene was handed over to Alberton SAPS.
