Woman rushed to hospital after vehicle overturns, R102

 VERULAM – One person was injured in a single vehicle accident that occurred on the R102 between Verulam & Ottawa on Sunday afternoon.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa arrived on scene at approximately 13:01 and discovered a blue Ford Figo lying on its roof. A female passenger suffered moderate injuries. She was stabilised on scene by Paramedics from a private ambulance service before being expedited to hospital by ambulance.

The driver of the Figo was not injured. Circumstances leading up to the incident were not immediately known. Thank you to all emergency units for scene control and clean-up.
