Bomb Scare at Palmview Primary School

PALMVIEW – Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to Palmview Primary School after administration staff received two (2) telephonic bomb threats.

Reaction Officers & RUSA Paramedics arrived at the premises at approximately 12:12 (Thursday) and met with Police Officials from SAPS Phoenix. According to a school employee, two calls were received minutes apart from a male stating that an explosive device was placed on the premises. RUSA Members, Police & Educators immediately evacuated learners to the assembly area.

The SAPS Explosives Unit arrived shortly thereafter and conducted an extensive search of the premises. No explosives were located.
