Two injured in Sandton head-on collision

GAUTENG – On Friday morning at approximately 09h45. Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision on Kelvin Road in the Sandton area of Johannesburg. On arrival on scene two light motor vehicles were found to have collided head on at high speed and high impact.

Closer inspection found the driver of one vehicle entrapped in the wreckage. Emergency Care Practitioners worked fervently to stabilize him whilst he was cut free using the Jaws-of-life. Once free he was taken rapidly by ambulance to a nearby hospital for the definitive care that he required.

Two other people were found to have suffered moderate injuries and were treated and stabilized on scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.
