Intelligence operation leads to drug seizure
KIMBERLEY – A crime intelligence driven operation in Pampierstad led to the seizure of dagga to the value of R45 000 and the arrest of a 45 year old man.
On 13 February 2024, a premises in Pampierstad was searched by members from the Kimberley Task Team, Kimberley Public Order Police, Kimberley Tactical Response Team and the SANDF.
Police recovered and seized dagga to the estimated value of R45 000 and steel buckets, approximately 30 litres, filled with coins. A 45-year-old man was arrested on charges of illegal possession of dagga and illegal dealing in dagga.
Northern Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Koliswa Otola commended the team for their vigilant conduct and assured the community that the fight against drugs will continue unabated.
