Car thief arrested after high speed chase

GAUTENG – An off duty Fox Reaction officer noticed a suspicious suspect walking around a school in Randhart, Alberton looking into vehicles and talking on his cell phone.
The Reaction officer immediately called for backup from Tactical members.

On arrival the suspect jumped into a vehicle when they saw officers approaching them, Fox members started following the vehicle while awaiting further information on the registration number.

The suspects started jumping robots and pavings trying to get away from Fox members, a high speed chase ensued when the suspects lost control of their vehicle.

3 suspects jumped out of the vehicle and ran in different directions, officers managed to apprehend 1 suspect with the help of JMPD. Well done to all units involved!
