House almost burns down due to generator

VERULAM – One person was treated for smoking inhalation after a house on Mitchell Crescent in Mithanagar caught alight on Tuesday night. Members of Reaction Unit South Africa arrived on scene at approximately 21:37 and discovered the garage on fire.

It was believed that a generator caught alight. Firefighters extinguished the blaze on arrival. A man residing on the property was treated for smoke inhalation by Paramedics from a private ambulance service.
