Mass casualty taxi collision
VERULAM – Ten (10) people sustained injuries after a mini bus taxi allegedly failed to halt at a stop street and collided into a truck on Belladonna Road in Cornubia yesterday afternoon.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa leaving the scene of a collision approximately 400 meters away were routed to a second mass casualty scene in the area. On arrival at approximately 17:17, Reaction Officers discovered a white Toyota Hiace and a white Nissan UD truck involved in the crash.
The injured were stabilised on scene and expedited to hospital by ambulance. The driver of the mini bus was also injured.
