Two injured in tanker crash, R102

VERULAM – Two people were injured after a tanker crashed down an embankment on the north bound lane of the R102 near King Shaka Airport – KZN yesterday morning.

Passing motorists contacted Reaction Unit South Africa requesting assistance at the scene. Reaction Officers and RUSA Medics were immediately dispatched and arrived on scene at approximately 07:09.

A white tanker transporting sewage was located several metres down an embankment. The driver and his assistant sustained injuries. They were treated on scene before being transported to hospital by ambulance. Circumstances leading up to the accident were not immediately.
