Water supply interruption update (Mothotlung/Lethlabile)

1. MOTHOTLUNG PUMP FULLY OPERATIONAL
The Mothotlung pump is fully operational.
This follows completion of the installation process of motor for the said pump.

The motor required power supply from a new electricity panel which was installed yesterday and commissioned this morning.
The supply of water is expected to be restored gradually from this afternoon in all areas under the Mothotlung reservoir supply line (Mothotlung, Damonsville and some parts of Mmakau).

2. INSTALLATION OF LETLHABILE SPARE MOTOR UNDERWAY

The maintenance team continue to be on site installing the spare motor for Letlhabile pump. Pumping of water to Letlhabile reservoir will commence after the completion of the installation process.

UPDATE ON THE INSTALLATION PROCESS OF LETLHABILE PUMP MOTOR

The installation process of the Letlhabile pump motor has been completed. The pumping of water to the Letlhabile reservoir resumed yesterday afternoon. The outlet of the said reservoir has been closed in order to build necessary capacity (water level) before distribution.

The outlet will be opened tomorrow morning (Friday, 29 December 2023) at 06H00 wherein distribution of water will then take place. The Municipality would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused by water supply interruption.
