Sex worker robs pensioner
BRINDHAVEN – A 65 year old pensioner flagged down a passing member of Reaction Unit South Africa in Brindhaven after he recognised a sex worker that had robbed him the night before.
Reaction Officers interviewed the complainant on Friday at approx. 21:57 who explained that his mobile phone valued at R6000 was stolen from his residence by a female. He further informed Officers that the incident occured at approx. 03:00 the previous morning after he picked up the sex worker on Fairview Drive and transported her to his home.
When the female was interviewed, she informed Officers that she intended charging the pensioner for rape and that she had taken the phone after he refused to pay her the agreed amount of R100 for performing sexual favours. She added that she was recently arrested for Possession of Heroin and was released on bail and had turned to Prostitution to feed her drug habit.
She then accompanied Officers to the Central Business District & pointed out a male that had purchased the stolen phone from her for R100 in cash. The man informed Reaction Officers that the phone was resold earlier today to an unknown person. The pensioner preferred not to register a criminal case & the female was released without charge.
