Two injured in serious head-on collision
SANDTON – At approximately 11h00 yesterday morning, Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision on Winnie Mandela Drive in the Sandton area.
On arrival on scene two vehicles were found to have collided head on. Two men were treated and stabilized on scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.
One of the men, aged approximately sixty years old, was found entrapped in the wreckage with critical injuries. Emergency Care Practitioners worked fervently to stabilize him before he was cut free using the Jaws-of-life.
