BREAKING NEWS: R7 million wasted on abandoned structure

MADIDI – The community of Madidi, in Madibeng Local Municipality service area, have been left wondering when will their promised Multi Purpose Center which was promised to them, will ever be completed? Save Madibeng, the Civic Movement of the people have noted with dismay, the ongoing culture from the Municipality of Madibeng of spending money on projects and abandoning them.

Saver Pitso said that the residents of Madidi are puzzled by that unfinished building which doesn’t give any hope that one day it might be completed and handed over to the residents, so that the youth can start partaking in the recreational activities. The project was started in 2016 and it lasted for almost two years. During the two years, many contractors have been appointed and terminated but the project is still not complete.

Save Madibeng calls on the Executive Mayor of Madibeng to provide leadership, by probing this matter and ensuring that those who were part of the wrong doing are brought to book and furthermore ensure that the project is resuscitated for the benefit of the residents of Madidi.
