Life before AutoCad Software

Prior to the era of AutoCAD and similar drafting programs, engineers created their designs manually on large sheets of paper spread out on drafting tables. This whole process required various tools, including various pencils of different hardness, erasers, T-squares and set squares.

One significant drawback of these paper-based designs was their finality. Meaning that once a drawing was completed, any necessary modifications to the design meant starting from scratch, as alterations were not possible on the original document.
