Two children died after consuming snacks from Spaza shop

FREE STATE – Two children from Mokwallo at Frederfort in the Free State province are reportedly to have died after consuming snacks bought at foreign owned Spaza shop. It alleged that the two toddlers siblings bought the snacks from a foreign spaza shop operating in their area. After few minutes of consuming the snacks, they started to vomit and collapsed.

An ambulance was summoned to the area but the siblings couldn’t be saved. A mother has lost two children in this incident that left the community of Mokwallo very angry. Foreign spaza shops are accused by the community of buying cheap stock from illegal suppliers.
